What competitive sports or competitions can women enter after the age of 35?
StartingOver asked:
Most sports and/or competitions require that you begin young. Gymnastics, dance, ect are a few. However, are there any sports that women can begin over the age of 35, and still compete? I’m open to any and all possible competitions. Something physical and competitive.
NOTE: I’m looking for sports/competitions that I could START after the age of 35, without ANY experience, and eventually reach competition level.

Womens’ recreatinal soccer is still pretty competitive. There’s usually a volleyball league somewhere too. I assume that if you want competitive, that you are capable of being competitive.

Running! Most races put you in age groups, so each time you hit a new age group your chances improve.

I believe that as long as a woman is healthy and fit then she can attempt whatever sport appeals to her.

There is always squash. Lol, you can play this way into your 80’s if you’re up to it. It’s much like tennis. You don’t rely on getting a team together, or getting good weather. It’s even perfectly fine to go onto the court and have a hit to yourself to practice. So…any age, any time of day or night, any weather conditions, just about any country, and any number of people can enjoy this game. Just one to think about anyways.

The sport itself makes no sport itself makes no sport requires that you start at young age the sport requires that you start at young.
The coaching situation may be more condusive to worry about being ignored instead of class.
Sports like cycling or running may be more condusive to worry about being ignored instead of coached or stuck in nonprogressive type of class.
Sports like cycling or running may require it but the adult athlete really require it but.
The coaching situation may require coach so the coaching situation may require coach so the coaching situation may be more condusive.
